Are all your items vegan?

What about allergens?

All of our products are free from eggs, milk and animal products, and these are not used in our kitchen.  We can make our bakes without gluten and nuts, however there is gluten and nuts used and present in the kitchen so if you have a severe allergy we wouldn't be able to confirm 100% that there would be no cross contamination.

Some of the colours and decorations we use (especially on the celebration cakes) may include E numbers which can cause hyperactivity in some children and adults, if this is a concern to you, send us an email and we can advise on specific ingredients.

How do I store my products?

Once you receive your order of brownies, blondies or cookies, we recommend that you keep them in an airtight container to maintain their freshness.

Cupcakes can be stored in a cool place or in the fridge (the sponge will usually dry quicker in this way).   If stored in the fridge they should be taken out 10-15 minutes before eating so that the buttercream softens.

With the correct storage all products will easily last 3-5 days, however our customers tell us they haven't been able to test that theory.

What about delivery?

All orders can be collected from our kitchen in County Durham (SR8), you will be given collection details on confirmation of your order.

Alternatively Brownie, Blondie and Cookie orders can be sent by Royal Mail First Class post or Royal Mail Special Delivery (there are additional charges for these).

Delivery for boxes of cupcakes can be arranged within a 5 mile radius of SR8 (additional fees are charged). 

You will usually received your order via First Class post the next-day but sometimes this can take up to 2 days to arrive.  Special Delivery is guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm from despatch day (we despatch the day after your order confirmation, not on the day of your order).

We despatch orders for postal delivery on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Please note, as all of our goods are made freshly to order and are perishable, refunds are not offered as standard.

What if there is a problem with my order?

Where are you located?

The Tree Rooms kitchen is based in County Durham.  All collections will be from here and you will be given collection details on confirmation of your order.

How do you ensure food hygiene & safety?

We are registered with the Local Authority and have achieved a 5* hygiene rating for our food hygiene & safety practices.  In addition, our bakers have undertaken food hygiene and allergen training.
